The internship (LIBR 294) was extremely valuable. It helped me gain experience in a public library and led to my first job in this type of library! -- Spring 2012 Graduate
Our school's MLIS and MARA graduate students have the option to complete an internship, where they can gain valuable real-world experience and course credit. Internship supervisors collaborate with our faculty to provide rich, structured field learning experiences for our students in a variety of professional settings. As interns gain new skills, explore career options, and expand their professional connections, they also participate in a two-way exchange of knowledge with their internship site.
Students can browse or search for internship opportunities and site supervisors can update or create new listings in the SLIS Internship Sites Database.
If you are a MLIS student, please go to the LIBR 294 Student Handbook.
