Vishing Awareness

Vishing Awareness: This project’s main purpose was to spread awareness and educate others about the dangers of Vishing. Vishing, or spam calling as others may know it by, is the fraudulent actions people take toward everyday people in an effort to steal information and rob them of their personal data and access, money, and even identity. It is important to emphasize the threat of vishing, how to spot it, and what you can do to stop it before it is too late.

Christian Ureno: “I am a sophomore at San Jose State University where I am majoring in Information Science and Data Analytics. I currently intern as a high tech Sales Representative at a local tech company called SILVACO. I am always scouring and searching for new opportunities and ways to expand my knowledge and horizon in the world of programming, data processing/mining, and communication skills. I intend to further pursue my education by enrolling in a 1-year program to earn a Master’s in Data Science.”
