Note: When joining the Drop In Center, use the the SLIS Restricted Materials password, which can be obtained each semester from one of your current instructors or your advisor. Faculty must also use the Restricted Materials password for the Drop In Center.

During Drop In Center hours, students may also contact live help via Blackboard IM. No password is required. Log into Blackboard IM, go to the School tab, and click on the "Collaborate Drop-in Center."

Students

Collaborate is different from Elluminate in many ways!

Common questions include:

Q: Where's the calendar?
A: The Collaborate management system (called "SAS") doesn't use a calendar. Session and recording information will be provided to you by your instructor or your Collaborate Assistant.

Q: How will I find my sessions?
A: Your instructor (or your Collaborate Assistant) will provide you with the date and time of the session, as well as the link for joining the session.

Q: How will I find recordings?
A: Your instructor (or your Collaborate Assistant) will provide you with the link for viewing the recording.
