Online Career Workshops

Online Career Workshops
First Wednesday of the Month Series

Each month during the academic year, Jill Klees, iSchool Career Center Liaison, conducts informal online workshops for current students and alumni via Zoom. These workshops allow for an interactive question and answer discussion with a focus on different topics, such as resume writing, telephone interviewing, and the job search. These workshops are recorded and archived for viewing at your convenience.

Upcoming Workshops

Career Coaching Office Hour

Wednesday, March 6, 2019

Join me, Jill Klees, the iSchool Student and Alumni Career Consultant, for a career coaching office hour. I’ll share job search questions from students like, “Is it OK if my resume is 3 pages?”, “How soon is too soon to follow-up on a job I applied for?”, “Do people still use an objective statement?”, “What does it mean when I’m applying for jobs but I am not hearing anything back?” Bring your own questions too. No career question is off limits. This will be an informal session with lots of tips and resources.

LinkedIn: What’s New and What’s Changed?

Wednesday, April 3, 2019

Join me, Jill Klees, the iSchool Student, and Alumni Career Consultant to go over changes and updates to the LinkedIn site as they relate to job searching, using the Alumni Tool, asking for recommendations, and more. If you’re new to using LinkedIn, this will be a great way to get started.

All workshops run from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Pacific and are recorded.
