Nicole Purviance

In her role as the director of marketing and communications at the San José State University School of Information, Nicole develops and implements the marketing and communication strategies, including advertising, content marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing. She manages the school’s community relations, alumni relations, publicity, and student recruitment initiatives. She is the primary copywriter for the school’s marketing communications, contributing to the website content, news articles, advertising, newsletters, and email communications.

Rhonda Dahlgren
Events Associate

As the Events Associate, Rhonda works with the San José State University School of Information Director, planning and attending a myriad of conferences. She works closely with the school’s Associate Director and marketing team. Supervise and delegate the workload of the iSchool staff (if applicable) for events.

As Career Consultant to the School of Information at San José State University, Kim Dority focuses on highlighting the diversity of career opportunities available to iSchool students and sharing the strategies necessary to find or create those opportunities.


Elaine Hall
Communications Consultant and Project Manager

As Communications Consultant and Project Manager for the San José State University School of Information, Elaine manages a variety of projects for Dr. Sandra Hirsh and the Communications Department. As Communications Consultant, Elaine oversees the iSchool Student and Community Profiles blogs and works closely with graduate student assistants on story leads, content development, and editorial review. As project manager, Elaine works closely with Dr. Hirsh, iSchool faculty, and student assistants on presentation development, book and research projects, and special projects as assigned.
